Whenever it is on WiFi it checks this page for a newer build and installs it on its own. There is nothing here you need to download unless you want to.

Clocks checking right now are told there is no update, and carry on running the firmware they already have. Nothing is at risk.
No cable was ever this direct
Plug the clock into this computer with a USB-C cable and this button will write the firmware straight onto it — no esptool, no Arduino IDE, nothing to install.
Three ways in
A clock on WiFi checks shortly after it starts and every twelve hours after that. If it finds a newer build it downloads it, verifies the checksum, installs it and restarts — usually inside a minute. It will not interrupt a ringing alarm to do it; that check waits for the next cycle.
Press the first button until you reach Settings, then Adjust until you reach Firmware. OK checks now, and OK again installs whatever it finds. ON/OFF turns automatic updating on and off.
Open your clock's address in a browser and go to Settings → Firmware. The same check and install buttons are there, along with a switch to turn automatic updates off if you would rather approve each one yourself.
An interrupted download cannot damage the clock. New firmware is written to a spare slot and only becomes the version that runs once the whole image has arrived and its checksum matches. A dropped WiFi connection or a power cut part-way through just means the clock starts on the firmware it already had and tries again later.
If your clock reports No OTA partition, it was flashed with a layout that has no room for a second copy of the firmware. Download the file above and flash it over USB once; automatic updates work from then on.
