Delivery, returns and refunds.
How the clock gets to you, what to do if you change your mind, and what happens if it arrives broken or stops working. Short version: tell us, and we will sort it out.
Delivery
Each clock is printed and assembled after you order it, so there is a build time before there is a posting time. We agree both with you by email before you pay anything, along with the delivery cost for where you are.
We will always deliver within 30 days of accepting your order unless we agreed a longer time with you. If we are running late we will tell you rather than let the date pass quietly. If we miss the agreed date you can give us a short extra period, and if we miss that as well you can cancel for a full refund.
The clock is our responsibility until it is delivered to you or to somebody you nominated. Anything that happens to it in transit is ours to put right.
Where we deliver outside the EU, any customs duty, import VAT or handling fee charged on arrival is payable by you. We cannot predict those and we cannot refund them.
If it arrives damaged
Photograph it before you do anything else — the packaging as well as the clock — and email josephdyoder@gmail.com within a few days of it arriving.
We will replace it or refund it, whichever you prefer, and we pay the postage both ways. You do not need to prove anything beyond showing us the damage, and this is not a return — it never arrived in a state you agreed to buy.
Changing your mind
You have 14 days from the day the clock is delivered to tell us you have changed your mind, for any reason or none. You then have a further 14 days to send it back.
The law allows a seller to withhold this right for goods made to a customer's own specification, and a clock printed in the colour you chose could arguably count. We do not rely on that. You get the 14 days regardless, on every clock we sell.
You are welcome to unpack it, plug it in and try it — you could do that in a shop. What you should not do is treat it as yours to keep for a fortnight: if it comes back scuffed, modified or missing parts we may reduce the refund to reflect the loss in value, and we will explain exactly how we worked that out.
How to cancel
Email josephdyoder@gmail.com and say clearly that you are cancelling. There is no form to fill in and no reason to give. Copy this if it helps:
I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract of sale for the following goods: one Klever Klox, ordered on [date] and received on [date]. Name: [your name]. Address: [your address]. Date: [today].
We will confirm by return so you have it in writing. Send it before the 14 days are up and you are inside the deadline, even if the clock itself takes longer to reach us.
Sending it back
- You pay the return postage when you are simply changing your mind. We pay it when the clock was damaged, faulty or not what you ordered.
- Pack it properly, ideally in the box it came in. Until it reaches us it is your responsibility, so use a tracked service — we cannot refund a parcel that never arrives.
- Include the SD card, the cable and anything else that came with it.
- Email us first and we will confirm the return address in writing.
Your refund
We refund within 14 days of the clock getting back to us, or of you showing us proof that you sent it — whichever is sooner. It goes back by the same method you paid, and we do not charge a fee for it.
The refund covers what you paid for the clock plus the standard delivery charge you paid to receive it. If you chose a faster or more expensive delivery than our standard option, we refund the standard rate. Return postage is not refunded when you are changing your mind.
If it develops a fault
Every clock is guaranteed for 12 months from delivery against faults in materials or workmanship. Email us, describe what it is doing, and send a photo or video if you can — half of these turn out to be a setting or an SD card and are solved in one reply.
If it is a genuine fault we will repair it, replace it or refund it, and we pay the postage both ways. We will tell you which of the three we are proposing and why, and we will not send you away to a manufacturer: we are the manufacturer.
This guarantee sits on top of your legal rights, described below. It does not replace them, and it does not run out on them.
What is not covered
- Accidental damage — drops, knocks, liquid, heat.
- Normal wear: marks on the case, a knob that has softened with use.
- Damage from a non-standard power supply, or from mains adapters that do not meet USB-C specifications.
- Damage caused by opening or modifying the clock, or by firmware we did not publish.
- The contents of the SD card, including music you added.
- Small differences in colour, texture and layer finish between units — every one is printed individually and no two are identical.
If we think a fault falls outside the guarantee we will tell you why, in writing, and we will send the clock back to you at our cost if you would like it back.
Your legal rights
Nothing on this page reduces the rights the law gives you. Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they are not, you are entitled to a remedy — repair, replacement, a price reduction or a refund — whatever our guarantee says and however long our guarantee lasts.
In Ireland, free advice on those rights is available from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission. Elsewhere in the EU, your national European Consumer Centre does the same job.
The full terms of sale are on the terms and conditions page.
